Disaster recovery, threat detection and mitigation
Let's talk about data security best practices related to real cases.
Imagine a scenery of getting a call at midnight from the CMO of a prospective client that a data breach was discovered.
Even it has been plugged successfully the question is what sensitive data could have been accessed while it was open and what kind of PR tools should be used to mitigate affected clients.
One of the worst nightmares for an external consultant. So you prepare a travel bag and while on the way you bundle necessary Apps and create a content infrastructure by mobile. rep10_2
Approaching you feel the hectic and everybody "blames the moon". As a result the first and most usual statement from the team after they reviewed access logs or other system indicators reassures that there is no evidence that data was stolen. But who knows what went on while they weren’t watching. Installing malware on i.e. company’s payment terminals could be done just with a look over ones shoulder.
Even the IT teams are skilled, the security breach train rolls on and we see large breaches impacting well known corporations. 1908p

Are you in Facebook's BOLO list?
Facebook runs since years a “BOLO” list (means “be on lookout”). The criteria to get added in this list is pretty low. When you send threatening mails to their employees or you simply commented F** words including the companies name, you are in the game and your activity as well as your location is tracked.
“Our physical security team exists to keep Facebook employees safe,” a Facebook spokesman said in a statement. “They use industry-standard measures to assess and address credible threats of violence against our employees and our company, and refer these threats to law enforcement when necessary.” 2388

After the Millennial boom the Generation X born between 1960 and 1969 increased by a whopping 230%
(2) Mobile payment in the West is working well
The USA with an impressive 800% jump is still leading with accepting Chinese mobile payments. In Europe France was also among the top 10 foreign countries with the greatest WeChat Pay spending volume.

WeChat Pay confirmed that users from smaller cities now accounted for 40 percent of spending. Means, the spending comes not only from the major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
The growth of Chinese mobile payments will force Western businesses to offer these mobile pay options if they want to grow their sales among Chinese travelers. And they cannot wait any longer of Western developments. 2360:1525

The Spring Lantern Festival. - It marks the end of the Chinese New Year and is celebrated in February or early March as Chinese equivalent of the Valentine's Day. It is also a day to enjoy the full moon, solve lantern riddles, watch art performances and eat “tang yuan” — dumpling balls made of glutinous rice, usually with sweet fillings. In Daoism, it is called the Shangyuan Festival (上元节, 上元節). Shang means Heaven.
As “innovation” is key to keep the ancient art alive, it is now a mixture of the traditional and modern.

学习强国 - study Xi Jinping's thoughts
The App 学习强国 (Xué Xí Qiáng Guó) was launched this year by the Propaganda Department. A nice character game can be found. In Mandarin "xué (学)" means "to study" (学习 - studying) but "xí" is also the name of Chinas president Xi Jinping. Simply translated it means "Study Xi (Jinping's) Strong Country"
The educational App is making its way to the most downloaded once in China, as it offers to study Xi Jinping's Thoughts, Party history, Chinese culture, history and it allows social functions like to connect with friends, message them, call them, or send them money presents (known as red envelopes).
By the way Xi Jinping is known for his philosophical knowledge and his studies of Confucianism, which a is tradition, a philosophy, a rationalistic religion and a way of governing. Interesting to read and a good advise for many Western political leaders.
It is in in Chinese and only available on Chinese platforms. On GooglePlay and Apple it is not available. More on xuexi.cn.

Fallas in Spain - Every March during Las Fallas festival, hundreds of huge papier-mâché monuments (the fallas) fill up every square and crossroad in Valencia in the most colourful celebration of the arrival of spring. The fallas are true works of art that can reach up to 20 metres high and 20 metres in diameter.
Satire, irony and humour combine in these oversized puppets, which often depict famous personalities in ridiculous clothes or far-fetched situations, in a sharp critique of current issues. After a few days on display, all the fallas are burnt in spectacular bonfires on 19th March, St Joseph’s day.
Besides the fallas themselves, the festival also includes daily fireworks displays, including the popular day-time mascleta at the City Hall Square, street concerts, and the colourful Flower Offering to Our Lady of the Forsaken, which sees thousands of falleros and falleras (locals dressed in traditional costumes) parading through the streets of Valencia.
The origin of the Fallas Festival dates back to the 18th century, when carpenters used to burn old furniture or pieces of wood, together with the candles that they had to use throughout the winter, in a special ceremony to symbolise the arrival of spring and honours St Joseph, their patron saint. This tradition evolved throughout time into the spectacular displays found today.
The Fallas Festival in Valencia has been included in UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016.
